Bangladesh, Pakistan call for joint work against Hindutva

Bangladeshi experts have stressed the need to work together with Pakistan against Hindutva aggression.
Former Dean of Dhaka University Professor Dr. Shahiduzzaman said, “We are bound by historical ties. We have had ups and downs. But we have always understood that we need each other.”
He made these remarks while virtually attending the international conference on ‘Pakistan-Bangladesh Relations’ held at the Pakistan National Council of Arts (PNCA) Auditorium in Islamabad on Sunday (December 15).
At the time, he also mentioned the need to confront a ‘big enemy’ like Hindutva.
After the fall of Sheikh Hasina, there were signs of thawing relations between Pakistan and Bangladesh. Since the formation of an interim government in Bangladesh under the leadership of Dr. Yunus, diplomatic and economic relations between the two countries have progressed.
Even last month, direct sea trade began for the first time. Through this, Bangladesh has imported 25,000 tons of high-quality sugar from Pakistan. Which was earlier imported from India.
Recently, a strong reaction was given from Dhaka after the attack on the Bangladeshi consulate in Tripura by a Hindutva group and the desecration of the Bangladesh flag.
The chief advisor to the interim government, Dr. Yunus, called for unity against Indian aggression and misleading propaganda.

Meanwhile, social workers, academicians and young leaders participating in the international conference on ‘Pakistan-Bangladesh relations’ emphasized the need to strengthen unity and brotherhood among the Muslim communities of South Asia.
At the same time, it also recalled the recent student movement in Bangladesh known as the ‘July-August or Rainy Revolution’.
In this event organized by Rafah International University, Global Youth Association, Pak Social Alliance and Pakistan Civil Society, former Dean of Dhaka University Dr. Several international scholars, including Professor Shahiduzzaman, were present.
The Islamabad conference emphasized the potential for mutual cooperation between Bangladesh and Pakistan against Indian aggression. It also signaled a further strengthening of the historical ties between the two countries.
