Corruption case verdict against Imran Khan on January 13

The verdict in the £190 million corruption case against former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan will be announced on January 13. Earlier, the verdict in the case was scheduled for two rounds, but it was later postponed.
An official of the special anti-corruption court in Islamabad told local news outlet Geo News.
The case against Imran Khan was filed by the country’s anti-corruption agency, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB). The case is originally known as the Al-Qadir Trust corruption case.
An official of the special court said that the verdict date has been set after discussing with Imran Khan’s lawyer and the NAB’s counsel.
NAB alleged that Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi took crores of rupees and a lot of land from a housing company in Pakistan. These transactions were made to legalize the five thousand crore rupees that the UK returned to Pakistan when Imran Khan was in power.
