Kazi Fahad Elected National President and Arefeen Raafi Ahmed as Deputy National President of JCI Bangladesh

Dhaka, 6 December 2024 – Junior Chamber International (JCI) Bangladesh has ushered in a new era of leadership following the successful conclusion of its National General Assembly at Le Meridien Hotel, Dhaka. At the event, attended by Local Presidents and members of the National Governing Board, Kazi Fahad was elected as the National President for 2025, while Arefeen Raafi Ahmed was named Deputy National President.

Kazi Fahad, a prominent entrepreneur and Managing Director of Kazi Printing & Accessories Ltd., takes the helm of JCI Bangladesh with a clear vision for the organization’s future. As a Director of BGAPMEA, Fahad has a strong track record of leadership and business acumen. Under his guidance, JCI Bangladesh is expected to continue its work in nurturing dynamic leadership and delivering impactful initiatives across the nation.

Joining Fahad in leadership is Arefeen Raafi Ahmed, a successful entrepreneur and Managing Director of Pulse Tech Ltd. Ahmed, also Executive Director of Techno Drugs Ltd., brings significant experience in driving business growth and innovation. Together, Fahad and Ahmed will work to further JCI Bangladesh’s mission of developing young leaders and creating sustainable social change in local communities.

The assembly, overseen by Immediate Past National President (IPNP) Md. Ziaul Haque Bhuiyan, who served as the Election Commissioner, also saw the announcement of the full 2025 National Board. Notable figures such as Mr. Mosud Mannan, the Founding President of JCI Bangladesh, and Mr. Shakawat Hossain Mamun joined as election commissioners for the event.

In his address, Kazi Fahad expressed his commitment to continuing the organization’s momentum after a stellar year in 2024, when JCI Bangladesh set new benchmarks for global excellence. Fahad emphasized that the upcoming year will focus on new opportunities for leadership development and community transformation. Meanwhile, Arefeen Raafi Ahmed outlined his goal of driving long-term, sustainable impact, particularly through initiatives aligned with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

With the 2025 leadership team in place, JCI Bangladesh is primed to advance its strategic vision, which aims to empower the youth, foster innovation, and create opportunities for positive change. The 2025 National Board’s work will build on the organization’s legacy of excellence, ensuring that JCI continues to be a driving force for social progress and leadership development across Bangladesh.

JCI, a global, non-political organization, operates in over 120 countries, with more than 200,000 members. Its mission is to empower young individuals aged 18-40 to create meaningful change in their communities. In Bangladesh, JCI operates through 45 Local Organizations, collectively dedicated to fostering leadership, innovation, and social impact.
