Kolkata’s JN Roy Hospital will not treat Bangladeshis

JN Roy Hospital in Maniktala area of North Kolkata, West Bengal, India has announced that it will not treat Bangladeshi patients.
This information was reported in a report by Indian media outlet Economics Times on Saturday.
On Friday, an official of JN Roy Hospital said that they have taken this decision in protest against the insulting behavior towards the Indian flag and the alleged torture of minority Hindus in neighboring Bangladesh.
An official of the hospital, Shuvrangshu Bhakta, said, “We have issued a notification. The notification says that we will not admit any Bangladeshi patient for treatment for an indefinite period from Friday. Such a decision has been taken due to the anti-India attitude of Bangladeshis and the insult shown towards our country. He has urged other hospitals in the city to take the same step in protest against the alleged torture of minorities in neighboring countries.
Shuvrangshu Bhakta said, “India played an important role in Bangladesh’s war of independence. Even then, we are witnessing anti-India attitude in Bangladesh. We hope that other hospitals will also support us and take similar steps.”
