Nepal Army squad disposes of suspicious object in Sinamangal, a suspect arrested

Kathmandu: The jewellery shop operator had received a call from an unknown number demanding monetary support on Wednesday morning.

A bomb disposal squad of the Nepal Army disposed of a suspicious object placed outside a jewellery shop in Singamangal on Wednesday.

The shop operator of the Singamangal-based Khotang Halesi Jewellery Store had received a call from an unknown number demanding monetary support on Wednesday morning.

Panic gripped the area after the bomb-like object was found outside the shop.

Along with the object, a note from a little-known Nepal Utthan Krantikari Party was also found.

Addressing the shop owner, the note demanded ‘monetary support’ for the party while also stating that the object was an RDX explosive.

According to Special Superintendent of Police Dan Bahadur Karki, a suspect has been taken into police control for investigation in connection with the incident.
