The Narendra Modi government is not giving shelter to Sheikh Hasina, who fled the country to stop the anti-India ‘wind’ in Dhaka. The Indian government sent Prime Minister Modi’s security adviser Ajit Doval to the Hindon Military Airbase in Ghaziabad and informed Mujibkanya about this on Monday evening. In a meeting with Doval, Sheikh Hasina once wanted to talk to Modi on the phone; But that application was not granted. However, by giving certain information to Doval, Hasina accused several countries of being behind the protest movement in Bangladesh, according to sources.
Prime Minister Modi and Foreign Minister Jaishankar held a long meeting on Monday night over Hasina’s resignation and the formation of an interim government by the army. In that meeting it was decided that no one from Bangladesh will be given political asylum in India for the time being. Secondly, BSF has been increased to increase vigilance at the entire border and all check posts surrounding Bangladesh. The country’s BSF DG is being sent to Kolkata at night. According to the sources of the Ministry of External Affairs in New Delhi, Sheikh Hasina is trying to go to a third country with her sister Rehana on a night flight without getting shelter from the Modi government. Because, Britain refused to give asylum to Sheikh Hasina. However, political analysts have claimed that the resignation of the Sheikh Hasina government is a major failure of the Indian government. Because, in addition to the failure of the country’s intelligence agency, Hasina could not come forward in handling the situation by giving her advice. In fact, since Modi himself was cornered in the elections inside the country, his friend Hasina’s government had to pay the price for not being able to pay attention to the neighboring countries.
A special helicopter of the Bangladesh Air Force arrived at the Agartala military airbase around 3 pm Indian time. Captain Abbas brought the helicopter. From there, Hasina brought 6/8 big suitcases to Hindon Airport in Ghaziabad in a special plane of the Indian Air Force. Sheikh Hasina is staying with her sister at the nearby Hindon Airbase in Delhi until this news is sent to Dhaka at 9 pm Indian time. Dinner and other arrangements were made by Indian military officers. On the other hand, all the officials of Bangladesh Embassy in Delhi and Consulate in Kolkata have practically ‘disappeared’. Either no one is picking up the phone, or the mobile is switched off. Indian government has temporarily closed rail, air and road communication with Bangladesh. Another reason for not giving shelter to Sheikh Hasina is that about 6,000 Indians are now stuck in Bangladesh.
