New dimensions in Pakistan-China relations

China-Pakistan relations have reached a new level. The two countries have agreed to further improve their bilateral relations. They have reaffirmed their commitment to deepening the strategic cooperative partnership through the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) 2.0.
The leaders of the two countries reached this consensus during the fourth round of Pakistan-China Bilateral Political Consultations (BPC) in Beijing. The Pakistani side was led by Foreign Secretary Amna Baloch and the Chinese side by Vice Foreign Minister Sun Weidong.
The two sides also exchanged views on various regional and international issues and agreed to further enhance their mutual coordination and consultation through high-level exchanges and dialogue mechanisms.
Baloch described Pakistan-China relations as “special and unique” and noted that the Pakistani government and people deeply cherish the enduring friendship between the two countries.
