Pakistan responds to India's invitation, Bangladesh says nothing

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has invited neighboring countries to celebrate the 150th anniversary. Pakistan has responded and said it will participate. However, Bangladesh has not made any decision.

The event will be held at the Bharat Mandapam at Pragati Maidan in Delhi on January 14 and 15. The IMD told Deutsche Welle that raising awareness about climate change will be the main focus of their event.

The IMD has invited representatives of the meteorological departments of the countries of undivided India to the 150th anniversary celebration. The invited countries include Pakistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Afghanistan, Myanmar, Maldives, Sri Lanka and Nepal. In addition, many countries in the Middle East and Southwest Asia have also been invited.

Pakistan has already accepted the invitation. They will send representatives to Delhi. But no message has been sent from Bangladesh so far. Deutsche Welle said that the organizers are waiting for a response from Bangladesh.

Meanwhile, a top official of the organization told news agency PTI, “We want officials from all the invited countries to come. We celebrate with everyone.”
