Race car plows into crowd of spectators in Sri Lanka, kills 7

A terrible accident occurred during a car race in Sri Lanka. A race car plows into the crowd of spectators. At least seven people were killed. Another 21 people were injured.

According to an AFP report, this terrible accident happened on Sunday (April 21) at the Fox Hill Circuit in Dyatlawa, Sri Lanka during a motor race organized by the country’s army.

The Sri Lankan military said the dead included spectators as well as four race officials. Not only that, an eight-year-old child also died.

The army also said that two died on the way to the military hospital. The condition of the rest is critical.

The Sri Lankan military organized the race at Dyatlawa. About 100,000 visitors attended the event.

A video captured by eyewitnesses has been released to the media. It has been seen that many people are running to the scene after the accident.

The event was canceled shortly after this incident. The police are investigating to find out why such an accident happened.
