Riva Ganguly Das is the new High Commissioner of India to Bangladesh. He will soon understand the responsibility. The appointment was announced by the Indian Ministry of External Affairs in a statement on Thursday.
Harshvardhan Sringla is currently the High Commissioner of India in Dhaka. He will be India’s ambassador to the United States. The 1974 IFS Sringla will take over from Navtej Sarna.
Riva Ganguly Das 197 IFS. He is currently the Director General of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR).
According to diplomatic sources in Delhi, the reshuffle of India’s High Commissioner to Dhaka could take place early next year. He joined as High Commissioner of India in Dhaka in January 2016.
