Thimphu: Bangladesh’s match at the SAFF Under-20 Championship 2025 against Bhutan was delayed on Tuesday.

Heavy downpour in Dhaka worsened the pitch conditions at the Bashundhara Kings Arena which saw the match official delay the second half by at least 45 minutes.

At half-time, Bangladesh held a 1-0 lead over Bhutan after Shanti Mardi netted from close range in the seventh minute.

After more than two and a half hours, the second half kicked off at the Bashundhara Kings’ training ground. Nepal’s match against Sri Lanka is also scheduled to take place later in the day.
