Will appoint ambassadors who prioritize Maldivians’ needs: President

Male: President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has stated that his administration will ensure to appoint ambassadors to foreign nations who will prioritize the needs of Maldivians. He assured that the current administration will provide better services to Maldivians living abroad than has been done previously.

President Muizzu made these remarks at a meeting with Maldivians residing in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) held on Thursday during his trip to attend the COP28 summit. In his address, the President highlighted his administration’s commitment to strengthening patriotism and love for Islam.

He announced that the newly established Ministry of Dhivehi Language, Culture and Heritage is responsible for collaborating with consulates abroad to organize Dhivehi Language and Islam programmes for Maldivians living abroad.

At last night’s meeting, President Muizzu provided the opportunity for attendees to share their concerns and thoughts with him. He responded that this government will make every effort to address those concerns.
