Helicopter crashed in Kedarnath, India

A helicopter has crashed in Kedarnath, Uttarkhand, India. The helicopter was already malfunctioning. The malfunctioning helicopter was later airlifted by an Mi-17 helicopter for repairs. The helicopter fell to the ground when the towing rope snapped due to the wind en route. No one was injured.

The helicopter that suffered the accident belongs to a private company. which crashed near the Mandakini River in Lincholi. In this regard, an official said, no one was injured in the accident, the accident was caught on video camera.

In this regard, news agency ANI quoted an official as saying, “The plan was to take the helicopter to Gauchar airstrip with the help of Mi-17 aircraft for repairs.” After some distance, the Mi-17 began to lose balance due to the weight of the helicopter and the wind. Due to which the helicopter had to be brought down near Tharu camp.

The helicopter had no passengers or luggage. And a rescue team was on the spot.

In this regard, the official said, the private helicopter made an emergency landing near the Kedarnath helipad due to some technical glitch last May. And this helicopter has earlier been used to take passengers to Kedarnath temple.

It may be noted that the trek routes of the Himalayan temples have suffered extensive damage due to heavy rains. Due to which the number of pilgrims visiting Kedarnath has drastically reduced since July 31.
