Jammu and Kashmir is heating up again, the finger of accusation is pointed at Pakistan
Immediately after the formation of the new government, Jammu and Kashmir in India has become heated again due to the alleged terrorist attack. There have been seven attacks in this region in the last 20 days. Why have these attacks increased?
Last Monday, three alleged terrorists opened fire on an army ambulance near the Line of Control in Akhnoor, Jammu and Kashmir. They opened fire in the Baltal area and entered a nearby forest. Then the army operation began there. One attacker was killed on Monday. Then two people died on Tuesday morning.
Last week, miscreants opened fire on an army vehicle in Gulmarg. Two army jawans and two porters were injured in this. They later died in the hospital. A few hours before this attack, a worker from another state was shot in Tral, Pulwama. The worker was seriously injured.
A few days ago, six workers from other states and a Kashmiri doctor were shot dead after entering the site of a road construction company near a tunnel under construction in Sonmarg.
In addition, on October 18, a worker from Bihar was shot dead in Shopian. He was hit by 12 bullets. His body was found lying in a field.
On October 9, two army personnel were abducted. One managed to escape. The bullet-riddled body of the other was later recovered.
Meanwhile, National Conference leader Omar Abdullah became the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir after the recently concluded assembly elections. Several attacks have occurred since he was sworn in as the Chief Minister. There has been widespread criticism against him for holding the elections with the support of the Hindutva extremist BJP, the ruling party at the center of India.
Omar Abdullah said that he is concerned about the recent increase in attacks in Jammu and Kashmir. He condemns this attack in the strongest terms.
After the Gulmarg attack, the Congress said that this situation has arisen due to the failed policies of the NDA. The Congress alleged that the NDA government at the Centre has failed to provide security in Jammu and Kashmir. They must immediately take responsibility for this and provide security to the army, security forces and the common people.
Former DIG of Jammu and Kashmir SP Baid said in an interview with news agency ANI that the ISI started infiltrating from Rajouri and Poonch. They infiltrated some people. Among them are people from the Pakistani army. There are SSG commandos, who are very skilled in fighting in the jungle.
DW’s AB Rauf Ghani agrees with the former DIG on this issue. According to Rauf, all those who have died in the hands of the army and security forces are foreigners. So it seems that infiltration has increased. We do not have any information about an increase in infiltration. However, the terrorists who have become active now are not local people. Rather, they are believed to have come from Pakistan. That is why there is talk of an increase in infiltration.
Senior journalist Sharad Gupta told German media Deutsche Welle that no matter how bad the domestic situation in Pakistan is, there has been no change in their Kashmir policy. On the contrary, they have increased their ‘terrorist’ activities by infiltrating Kashmir more and more.
According to him, Pakistan has been trying this for a long time. In the meantime, they tried to get this done by using local people. Now again, they are doing this by infiltrating terrorists. Perhaps Pakistan also wants to divert the attention of the people of the country from their domestic issues. And they have been trying to create instability in Kashmir for a long time and put India in trouble.
Deutsche Welle Urdu journalist Salahuddin Jain said that the terrorists want to show that the Kashmir problem has not been resolved yet. The Lok Sabha and Assembly elections have been held, but the problem remains.
Incidentally, India and Pakistan have been claiming Kashmir as their territory. Tensions continue to rise between the two neighboring countries over this, with accusations and counter-accusations. On the other hand, Kashmiris have been fighting for their independence for a long time. Pakistan has been recognizing and supporting them as freedom seekers.
The Indian central government has deployed millions of soldiers, police and other forces in Kashmir and has blockaded it. Due to this, Kashmir is called the open prison of the world.
