Sanjay Raut, a member of parliament from the Hindutva party Shiv Sena, said, “All Bangladeshis should be expelled from India. It should start with Sheikh Hasina. Who has been given shelter in this country.”
Sanjay Raut said this while reacting to the recent Mumbai Police suspicion that the attacker on Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan was a “Bangladeshi.”
Raising a question about the attacker on Saif Ali Khan, Sanjay Raut said, “Who said the attacker was Bangladeshi? BJP? They are claiming that the attack on Saif Ali Khan is an international conspiracy. What is the international conspiracy?”
He said, “An actor has been attacked. The people should be told the truth. If he (the attacker) is Bangladeshi, then the central government is responsible for this. It is Amit Shah’s responsibility and he should resign for this.”
Sanjay Raut also said at this time that all Bangladeshis should be expelled (from India). And it should start with Sheikh Hasina. Who has been given political asylum. They are only creating panic. The reason for this is the Mumbai municipal elections. Whenever we want to speak against Bangladeshis in Parliament, the BJP stops us. In this case, they talk about international relations. 10 days ago they accused Saif Ali Khan of love jihad. And now they are worried about him.
Regarding Saif Ali Khan, the Shiv Sena MP also said, Saif Ali Khan’s son’s name is Taimur. Their (BJP) people also say bad things about him. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has got this information. Now Taimur has become a symbol of their love.
It is worth noting that Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan was attacked on January 16. On that day, his house in Bandra was attacked. At that time, he was stabbed in the neck and spine. The Mumbai Police has arrested a young man named Mohammad Shariful Islam Shehzad as a suspect and has taken him into remand.
Police said his house is in Jhalakathi, Bangladesh. According to the police statement, Shehzad entered Saif Ali Khan’s residence with the intention of committing a robbery. But since Saif Ali Khan was present in the house, Shehzad stabbed him. He was seriously injured. A case has been registered against the attacker under various sections of the Indian Penal Code.
Meanwhile, Shariful Islam Shehzad (31) used to identify himself as Bijoy Das. He did not have any valid proof of Indian citizenship.
However, his lawyer claimed to the media that the police do not have any proof whether Shariful Islam is Bangladeshi. His client has been living in that area for the last seven years.
Regarding Shariful’s citizenship, his lawyer Sandeep Shekhane said that the court has granted his client a five-day remand. However, the police could not provide any information to the court that Shariful is Bangladeshi. Their claim that Shariful has been in Mumbai for six months is also false. Shariful has been living in Mumbai for seven years. His family is also here.
Along with this, the lawyer also claimed that the police investigation is not being done properly.
