All the crews of the ships that destroyed the bridge in the United States were Indians
A bridge collapsed after being hit by a ship in Baltimore, USA. Many vehicles and people on that bridge fell into the river. Many casualties are expected in this incident. The rescue operation has already started. In the meantime, it is known that all the crew of the ship that hit the bridge named ‘Francis Scott Key’ were Indians.
Indian media NDTV reported the news on Tuesday (March 26) in a report.
It said that shipping company Maersk has confirmed the presence of Indian crew. which was operating a Singapore flagged container ship named ‘Dali’.
There were 22 Indian crew members on board and all of them were reported to be unharmed.
It should be noted that the accident happened around 1:30 PM (11:30 AM Bangladesh Time) on Monday (March 25) local time in the United States.
Baltimore City Fire Department Communications Director Kevin Catwright confirmed that a large vessel was stuck on the bridge. As a result, it collapsed and fell into the Patapsco River.
He also said that at least seven people and many vehicles fell into the river after the bridge collapsed.
Various agencies led by the fire department are said to be carrying out rescue operations. They were joined by the US Coast Guard and Maryland agencies.
According to the report, the length of the bridge is 3 kilometers (1.6 miles). After the incident, all lanes of the bridge were closed from both sides, the Maryland Transportation Authority said.
