Bangladesh PM Hasina sends mangoes to India President Murmu, PM Modi, Sonia Gandhi
The prime minister had gifted mangoes to Indian dignitaries in the past as goodwill gesture
Dhaka: Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has sent fresh seasonal mangoes as gifts to India President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Sheikh Hasina also gifted mangoes to Sonia Gandhi, Former President of Indian National Congress and other Indian dignitaries, the Bangladesh High Commission in India said.
The prime minister had gifted mangoes to Indian dignitaries in the past as goodwill gesture.
This year, the gift baskets were carrying popular varieties of mango like Himsagar and Langra originating mainly from the Rajshahi region, a place popularly known for producing high quality delicious mangoes.
The Bangladesh High Commission in New Delhi delivered the gifts to the offices of the respective dignitaries.
