Thimphu: Today, another significant occasion is being celebrated as the nation continues its journey to strengthen healthcare for mothers and children.
The Ministry of Health (MoH) expressed their gratitude to JICA Bhutan for their generous collaboration, which has resulted in the Ministry receiving 27 iCTGs.
These iCTGs will play a vital role in enhancing specialized gynaecological and obstetric care nationwide.
The iCTGs will be reaching even the most remote areas, with a distribution of 25 to primary health centres and 2 to the Faculty of Nursing and Public Health at KGUMSB.
Developed by Melody International Ltd, the iCTG system is a revolutionary telemedicine device that will assist in diagnosing fetal abnormalities, monitoring uterine contractions, identifying high-risk pregnancies, and ensuring timely management.
Lyonpo Dasho Dechen Wangmo expressed her gratitude and highlighted how this initiative will lead to a reduction in adverse pregnancy-related outcomes, providing high-quality healthcare right in the comfort of people’s homes, even in the most challenging areas.
