Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is raising anti-Muslim issues while attacking the Congress manifesto in the election campaign. In his speech, he made a controversial comment about the increase in the population of Muslims. All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) party chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Waisi has responded strongly to such comments of the Indian Prime Minister.
Media NDTV reported that the Prime Minister of India made anti-Muslim remarks in a public meeting recently. In the public meeting, Modi attacked the main opposition party Indian National Congress (INC) against Muslims. He said that if the Congress comes to power, the wealth of the country will be distributed among the Muslims. They will take away the family gold and silver of Hindus, even the sacred Mangalsutra worn around the neck of married women.
According to reports, Modi directly referred to the word Muslim in the comment. He also uses two words and phrases ‘infiltrators’ and ‘those who bear many children’. By these two words, BJP leaders usually refer to the Muslim community.
In a press conference in Hyderabad, Asaduddin Waisi claimed that Muslims use the most condoms in India. The population of Muslims in India is not increasing but decreasing.
Criticizing Modi, AIMIM chief YC alleged that Narendra Modi is building a wall of hatred between two communities on the basis of religion. Besides, in a tone of challenge, YC claimed that the concept of Muslim Dev’s contribution behind the country’s population growth is false. He cited the Modi government’s own information on this.
The outgoing MP and candidate for the ongoing Lok Sabha elections, YC said, ‘Why are you (Narendra Modi) creating such a scary idea that Muslims give birth to more children? The data of the Modi government says that Muslims are lagging behind in terms of birth rate and population. Muslims use condoms the most. And there’s no shame in saying that.
Criticizing Modi, YC alleged that the prime minister is spreading hatred towards Dalits and Muslims for no reason. The prime minister of a country says that 15 percent of the population are intruders. Nothing can be more shameful than this.
