Put me in jail and release PTI activists: Imran Khan
Pakistan’s former Prime Minister and founder of Tehreek-e-Insaf Party (PTI) Imran Khan urged the country’s judicial department, saying that if they want to keep me in jail, let them release the leaders and workers of his party.
Former Prime Minister of Pakistan and founder of Tehreek-e-Insaf Party (PTI) Imran Khan called for this.
He made the plea to the judiciary while talking to reporters after a £190m corruption hearing on Tuesday (March 26). Khabar Express Tribune.
At that time, Imran Khan called on the Chief Justice of Pakistan, Qazi Faiz Isa, to form a judicial committee to investigate the cases against his party’s leaders and activists on charges of vandalizing army installations on May 9 last year.
Imran Khan said, “There has been no investigation in this incident so far.”
At this time, he said, losing and hiding evidence is also a kind of crime. A political party is simply being wiped out based on the 9th May incident.
The former Prime Minister of Pakistan said that the authorities should consider releasing the PTI activists. If you want to put me in jail, keep me. Leave the rest though.
