Batik Air Malaysia launches Colombo flights, boosting Sri Lanka–Malaysia connectivity

March 30 (Daily Mirror) – Batik Air Malaysia has commenced operations to Sri Lanka, marking a new milestone in strengthening air connectivity between Malaysia and Sri Lanka.

The airline began flights to Colombo on March 30, 2026, with an initial frequency of four weekly services, according to the Bandaranaike International Airport.

The new route is expected to enhance travel options for passengers while supporting tourism, trade, and bilateral ties between the two countries.
