No issues in the ties between Nepal and China

According to her, Nepal and China do not interfere in each other's internal affairs. China believes in the political and economic path chosen by Nepal and will not interfere and is giving support as much as possible.

Kathmandu: Barsha, a journalist of China Media Group, said that despite the changes in the international society, there is no problem in the relationship between Nepal and China.

In an interview given to NepalNews, she said that the government of Nepal is sticking to the one-China policy and that the government of Nepal does not give a chance to anyone to harm China through the territory of Nepal. On behalf of the Chinese people, she expressed her gratitude to the Nepali government and the Nepali people.

According to her, Nepal and China do not interfere in each other’s internal affairs. China believes in the political and economic path chosen by Nepal and will not interfere and is giving support as much as possible.

She said that since China attaches great importance to its neighbouring countries, it wants to move forward with the prosperity of its neighbouring countries.

The relationship between China and Nepal has been going on for ages. With the passage of time, the friendship between the two countries is getting stronger.

She said that China wants to develop with Nepal and made it clear that China is helping Nepal in any difficult situation. China had helped Nepal during the last earthquake, covid 19, etc. Nepal has also been helping China from time to time.

After the establishment of New China, high-level visits are being made from both sides of Nepal and China. People-to-people exchanges are also increasing. Now it is easy to travel because of planes and roads.

Chinese journalist Barsha said that China has joined the Belt and Road BRI proposal in the period of 10 years and many countries of the world have joined it.

China has a determination and plan to cooperate with Nepal in the format of BRI. She said that China is willing to implement it soon.

In the past, the number of Chinese tourists visiting Nepal was very high. Journalist Barsha said that the number of Chinese tourists who have been decreasing due to Covid is increasing again. There are four to five flights from China to Nepal every day. The exchange of people has also started again from checkpoints like Kerung in Rasuwa. She said that if Nepal’s roads are upgraded and the standard of hotels is increased, the number of Chinese tourists will increase.

There are also many Chinese who came to do business in Nepal. There are hotels, restaurants, and shops opened by the Chinese in Thamel, the main tourist spot of Nepal. Because of this, the number of tourists has increased in Thamel. Now the number of Chinese speaking Nepali language is increasing. She said that they learned such language from universities and educational institutions as well as Nepali friends who work together. Nepalese are also getting opportunities to learn Chinese language through other institutions like Confucius College under Tribhuvan University and Kathmandu University as well as Confucius Class of LRI School and Chinese Culture Center.

The Chinese journalist Barsha said that language is playing an important role in understanding each other for the people of both countries.
